About Double Treble Custom Guitar Straps

Hi I am Nick S. Koukotas, the founder and designer of Double Treble Custom Guitar Straps. I am a fur and leather mechanic, I started learning how to craft fur from my father when I was 14. Using these skills I worked in the fur manufacturing market in New York City for 16 years. I also started playing guitar when I was 15 years old, that is the beginning of the Double Treble story...
Somewhere in the early to mid 1990's I was inspired to make guitar straps after Cesar Diaz, "The Amp Doctor", gave me a strap that Bob Dylan had used. I wanted to preserve this great piece of Rock & Roll memorabilia, but still wanted to use something similar, so I searched music stores in NYC in vain trying to find a high quality leather guitar strap to match its quality. It was then that I realized there was a void in the market for high end, custom guitar straps.

I decided that I would craft my own high quality leather guitar straps. Customers asked for their names and initials and logos on straps so I created the first custom embroidered leather guitar straps. I take great pride in having made guitar straps for some of the greatest guitarists in the world. Paul Barrere , Fred Tackett and Ken Gradney of Little Feat , B.B. King , Billy Gibbons ,Duke Robillard , Rick Derringer , Bernard Allison , Dickey Betts have all used my straps. My greatest joy is when I get a call from a customer telling me that one of my straps really brightened their day. It would be my pleasure to create a custom strap for you.
