My story is quite unusual, since making these custom-designed guitar straps isn't my full time job...it's my passion. Formally, I am an expert in buying and selling fur and leather pelts from around the world.

So how did I come to founding Double Treble you might ask? It all started many years ago when Cesar Diaz, the late, great amp doctor gave me a guitar strap that was custom made for Bob Dylan.

I was completely blown away. This was the strap that started it all. While I am a guitar player, the thought of using this magnificent guitar strap for myself seemed sacrilegious. So instead, I decided to buy one just like it. Sounds simple, right? Wrong. I searched high and low..but I couldn't find anything nearly as beautiful or well made. I still wanted one just like it. You know the feeling.

I decided to take on the challenge and learn how to hand craft, one-of-a-kind leather guitar straps. I already had instant access to the finest leathers. Custom embroidering these straps came next when some of the greatest musicians saw what I had created for myself.

I take great joy and pride in being able to create some of the finest custom made and custom embroidered leather guitar straps in the world that are used by some of the finest players in the world including: Dickie Betts, B.B. King and Cesar Diaz.

I am flattered that great musicians, such as Duke Robillard and Debbie Davies find my straps so beautiful that they grace the covers of their CDs. My greatest joy is when I get a call or letter from someone telling me that one of my straps really made their day.
